Examples

  1. Small Group w/o Block - Bill Leader. Corporate meeting with leader billing.  A large corporation wants group reservations for department meeting.  The corporate office wants the billing to be handled by the most senior employee onsite.  View example.

  2. Small Group w/o Block - Bill Master.   Corporate meeting with group master billing.  A large corporation wants group reservations for conference.  All reservations will be employees and all billing should be handled at the corporate accounting office.  View example.

  3. Small Group Block - Bill Leader.  The Jonas family is having a wedding.  Stanley and Amanda call to block 10 rooms so wedding guests can call and reserve rooms at a group rate while still paying for their own rooms. Stanley and Amanda need a room and will also pay for the bride and groom's room.  All other guests in the block will pay their own room rates/charges.  View example.

  4. Link Reservations (Group Leader) - Separate Billing.  Two couples are traveling together and paying separately.  Link multiple rooms together to form a kind of group without a block of rooms.  For example, Joe and Mary Smith may be traveling with George and Martha Jones.  They need separate reservations but may wish to be known as traveling together.  Make reservation using the normal New Reservation process for the Smiths.  Once complete, select the Smiths' reservation and click the Add Room option.  The pay code is automatically set to individual pay (IP). Each reservation must be checked in, checked out, or cancelled individually.  View example.

  5. Link Reservations (Group Leader) - Bill Leader. Two couples are traveling together and both rooms are paid by one of the couples. Link multiple rooms together to form a kind of group without a block of rooms.  For example, Joe and Mary Smith may be traveling with George and Martha Jones.  They need separate rooms, wish to be known as traveling together, and both rooms are paid by Joe Smith.  View example.

  6. Single Room - Two Guests - One Folio.  Brad Marshall and wife Gina need one room for their stay but require each name to be listed on the telephone registry.  Use New Reservation option to make Brad Marshall's reservation.  Once complete, select Mr. Marshall's reservation in the grid and select the Add Sharewith option.  Once saved, Mr. Marshall is designated as the leader.  Gina Marshall is assigned a separate reservation number and is attached to Brad's leader reservation.  Room charges can be completely incurred by Brad or split based on the checkbox on the Add Sharewith screen.  View example.

  7. Corporate Group - Multiple Guests/Dates - Group Master Billing.  IBM continually sends individuals with different dates throughout the year. Billing is handled at the corporate accounting level.  This requires no block and no group leader.  A group master is necessary.  Use the New Reservations - Paying Guest option to make individual reservations as needed.  Select the Group Master from the New Reservation screen and set the Pay Code to ZZ (all charges).  View example.

  8. Wholesalers - Blocks without Leaders.  Wholesalers continually send individuals with different dates throughout the year. Billing is handled by the wholesaler and rooms are booked from a block.  No group leader is required; but a group master is necessary.  Use the New Reservations Paying Guest option to make individual reservations as needed.  Select the Group Master (wholesaler) from the New Reservation screen and set the Pay Code to RT (room and tax including packages).   View example.
  9. Bus Tours - Master w/Block and Multiple Leaders.  Book 15-30 rooms as 1-night stays for several nights in a row. This example will have a group master, a block, several group leaders (one for each night and not a real person) with a group master pay code of ZZ, several members under each group leader with a group leader pay code of RT.  View example.
