IRM.Net Multiple Reservations - Requires T1 Module

The IRM.Net Multiple Reservations (T1) Module allows guests to reserve more than one room via the IRM.Net. A new drop down appears on the Res Main page (1st page) of the IRM.Net for the guest to select the number of rooms to reserve. Once a room is selected, the guest has option to choose additional rooms. The multiple reservations are linked together with the group leader reservation number, which is the reservation number of the first reservation booked. Group and non-group reservations are supported with the Multiple Reservation features.

Configuration

To enable this IRM.Net Multiple Reservations feature, go to the IRM.Net --> Configuration --> Reservations Tab --> check the Allow Multiple Reserving Multiple Rooms Up To box --> enter the maximum number of multiple rooms the guest can book at once. The system allows up to 10 to be entered as the maximum.

Note: If Travel Services is enabled for the IRM.Net, the multiple IRM.Net reservations features are disabled.

Note: If the Virtual Store is enabled and the guest selects more than one room, the Virtual Store page is skipped.

Reservation Booking Details

The following are features of the IRM.Net Multiple Reservations:

• The drop down default for number of rooms to select is 1 on the ResMain.aspx page. When the guest selects more than 1, the multiple reservation features are activated.
• Multiple reservations are booked using the same name, address, phone, email address, and credit card.
• The IRM.Net will use the same deposit settings configured for single reservations.
• A separate credit card payment is taken for each reservation, so it will appear correctly on the folio.
• If a payment is tried three times unsuccessfully, the reservation is cancelled.
• The Reservation Summary will recap each reservation's room charge details.
• The first reservation to be saved will be the default group leader for the multiple reservations unless the guest is logged in a group, which will use the group's leader instead.
• If using IRM.Net Analytics, a cumulative total for all reservations will be recorded, including total charge, total tax, room charge, etc.

Styling

There are few style classes that can be customized to fit the IRM.Net design. These styles reside in the ResMain.css file located on the IRM.Net server in C:\INETPUB\WWWROOT\IRMNet\App_Themes\<folder of theme in use>.

• labelHighlight - The style of the message that indicates how many rooms are selected.
• medButton - The style of the buttons for "Select Another," "Remove All," and "Book These."

Note: If a custom theme is in use for the IRM.Net, add these two styles to the ResMain.css stylesheet located in the custom theme folder.
