The IRM.net is configurable and customizable to a great degree. The documentation contained below is designed to be used by web programmers to configure the IRM.net. The documentation will be self explanatory to a web programmer. Programmer support is not provided for integrating the IRM.net. If you are not a web programmer, or you have not hired a web programmer and you would like to customize the IRM.net, please contact GuestStream, our preferred provider for IRM.net configuration.

IRM.Net Customizable Text

The IRM.Net can be customized by property with regard to the screens that owners and guests view when logged into the IRM.Net.

Use IRM.Net Monitor to View Customizable Files

Customers and web designers can view this information in more detail by accessing the IRM.Net Monitor, for example http://myserver/irmnet/monitor.aspx.

Use the IRM.net Connectivity Tests to verify the IRM.net is properly installed and connected.  Once all tests "pass", the IRM.net is ready for access.  Use the "Start IRM.Net ..." links to start the IRM.net.

Use the See Owner or See Res File Names to view the IRM.net customizable HTML file names.

Set the property and click any of the links to view the sample web pages with the customizable file names listed.  The sample below shows three different sections that can be customized with the name of the custom document shown as well.

Using the above sample, any documents listed in blue as (c:inetpub\wwwroot\IRM.Net\UserText\xxxxxx.htm) are the HTML pages documents that can be updated to match customers' marketing sites.  Note that the c:\ is actually the IRM server name for practical use.  This sample shows where customized pages such as HEADER, LOGON, FOOTER display and are available for customization.

In this case, the RDP header displays as well as the name of the file referencing it. and the same with the Login section and the footer section.  View the list of pages below and click any document links to view a sample screen with document titles.

The text displayed at specifically named locations of each IRM.net page can be customized. In addition room descriptions and pictures can be customized for each room type or by individual unit. Use the IRM.net Monitor page to see the locations and names of the html files that can be customized.

Note:  Not all file names are visible using the IRM.Net Monitor.  For additional information, please see KINet0018.
