Masters - Rooms - Analysis

Overview

Pose an informal query on the room master database. Use the Analysis grid to view the entire database in one grid (use the paging tools when necessary). The list is displayed in a grid and has all grid functions. Analysis offers four areas: navigation, reports, the grid, and detail tabs. Double-click any row in the grid to open the Change Room form. See Right-Click Options for specific Room Analysis selections.

Tabs available when viewing the Room Analysis are: Contact Detail, Room Detail, Preferences, Notes, Reservations, Work Orders, Room, Bills, and Assets.

Find Now

Use the Find wizard to assist with specific searches. The room list searches by name (the left-most column by default) initially. Click any column header in the grid to change how the Find feature locates within the list.

If only one master is displayed in the Analysis grid, the grid can only search that master. When using the Find wizard located above the grid, all rooms must be searched. Therefore, the Find Master screen opens in these instances. If the grid is sorted by Room Type (see sample below), enter the letter(s) or numbers of the record to be found and click the Find button. The information entered is filled in provided that the search column that has been selected on the master list matches one of the search options available on the master find form.

Click the #BR column to sort the grid by the number of bedrooms available in a room, enter a number in the Find #BR field, and click Find Now to display the closest match to the number entered.

Show Detail

To show the detail of an individual master, check the Show Master Detail box and highlight a row. The detail tabs available within each master are displayed based on the selected row. For example, the Contact Info., Master Info., Comments, and Notes tabs are displayed in Vendor Master Analysis. These are the same tabs displayed in add, change, and view Masters.
