Specific references within this tutorial to specific screen displays may differ if data/demo files have not been updated. At the login screen, be sure to select the CCS demo files from the Resort drop-down. It is important to access the System |Configuration | Vacation Rental System and confirm that Switch 426-06 (Vacation Rental System Features) is unchecked. If checked, uncheck the box, log out, and log back in so the changed can take effect.
Designate Activity as "Included in Package"
- Use F3 to find Reservation 296 – Seymour/Jane. Click Select.
- Select Activities – Change from Options.
- Highlight Adult Bike #4 and click the Change button.
- Check the "Included in Package" box.
- Click Save.
- Click Close.
- Select the folio tab, review the transactions for 3/1/98, and note the Rack Rate of $100.00 and four bike rentals, one of which has a "Y" in the "In Pkg" column.
- Click the Preview button and select Guest Folio I for previewing. The first time a Crystal Report is previewed or printed, the system takes some extra time for formatting.
- In the Report Viewer, review the transactions on 3/1/98. Note that only three (3) bike rentals are shown, as well as a Rollaway Charge. Notice the room rate for 03/01/98 is $125.00.
- Close the folio preview.
- Select "Add Activities" from the Options menu.
- Change the date to 3/2/98.
- Change the Type to Folio.
- Click Display.
- Select "Conference Room Rental" and click the "Add Activity" button.
- Enter a price of $200.00.
- Check the "Included in Package" checkbox.
- Click Save & Close.
- Click Save & Close on the Activities screen.
- On the Folio tab, note the Rack Rate room charge of $100.00 and a Conference Room Rental of $200.00 on 3/2/98.
- Click the Preview button.
- In the Report Viewer, review the transactions on 3/2/98. Note that only one charge displays on 03/02/98: Rack Rate room charge displays as $300.
- Close the Report Viewer.
