Overview

The system allows up to three shifts per day.  Also available from the Night Audit menu, advance the shift by one or two shifts at a time.  Moving the shift backward is not allowed.  In order to prevent inadvertent changing of the day, changing from Shift 3 to Shift 1 is not allowed from the Change Shift option.  When the system is on Shift 3 and the Change Shift option is selected, the system displays "The RDP system is on Shift 3.  Incrementing the shift from '3' means changing the date.  At this time, you must use RDPDOS to close the day."

Current Date and Shift
Displays the current system date and shift.
Next Shift
Displays the next scheduled shift number and date.  The Next Shift number equals the Current Shift plus one.  Up and down arrows are provided to skip more than one shift at a time.  Advancing from Shift 3 to 1, which actually signifies a new day, is not allowed.  To advance from Shift 3 to 1, the day must be closed.
Close Shift
Once the Next Shift is selected, click Close Shift to update the shift and the Status Bar.
Close
Click to return to the previous screen without changing the shift.
