Disable Front Page Server Extensions:  Conflicts with IIS

Overview


 There are known security and memory complications with Internet Information Services (IIS) and Front Page Server Extensions. If they are not disabled, the IRM can slow down or hang.  To disable Front Page Server Extensions:

  1. Choose Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs.
  2. Select Add/Remove Windows Components.  Highlight Internet Information Services (IIS) and click 'Details.'
  3. Uncheck Front Page Server Extensions.  Click OK.
  4. Click Next.  Click Finish.
  5. Close Add/Remove Programs.
