Security:  Windows Critical Updates

Overview

Microsoft continually develops patches and fixes for points of known security vulnerability.  The patches are packaged and distributed as a part of Windows Critical Updates.  To download the Windows Critical Updates:

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Select Tools | Windows Update.
3. Select Product Updates.  Windows Update will customize a package of Critical Updates not yet installed on the server or workstation.
4. Check the box next to Critical Updates.  Click Download.
5. After the download is complete, reboot.
6. Critical Updates should be downloaded regularly.
