RDP-DOS Steps
- Confirm new workstation uses XP Professional
as required by RDPWin.
- Add the
Pervasive client to the workstation.
- Add the station number as an environment variable under the system
variables. This is at the windows level and not within RDP (similar to
the step in the RDPWin section).
- Create an icon directed to a batch file that should exist on the
mapped RDP drive.
- If the new workstation is an interface bridge computer for the RDP736 programs (Phone Interfaces), define the interface module using 98 -
System Manager Functions, 094 - Update File Paths, Field 17 - Interface
Modules. There are no spaces or commas between modules listed.
RDPWin Steps
- Add the station number as an environment variable (if needed).
Right-click My Computer on the desktop, select the advanced tab, click the
Environmental Variables button, highlight Station and click the Edit button.
- Run the client setup program from the
new workstation located in the server's PVSW\Clients\Win folder.
- When prompted during RDPWin client setup, map the RDPWin path to
the data directory such as RDPNT\RDP\RDP01.
