Index
Article ID#: KWin0054

RDP-DOS Steps

  1. Confirm new workstation uses XP Professional as required by RDPWin.
  2. Add the Pervasive client to the workstation.
  3. Add the station number as an environment variable under the system variables.  This is at the windows level and not within RDP (similar to the step in the RDPWin section).
  4. Create an icon directed to a batch file that should exist on the mapped RDP drive.
  5. If the new workstation is an interface bridge computer for the RDP736 programs (Phone Interfaces), define the interface module using 98 - System Manager Functions, 094 - Update File Paths, Field 17 - Interface Modules.  There are no spaces or commas between modules listed.

RDPWin Steps

  1. Add the station number as an environment variable (if needed).  Right-click My Computer on the desktop, select the advanced tab, click the Environmental Variables button, highlight Station and click the Edit button.
  2. Run the client setup program from the new workstation located in the server's PVSW\Clients\Win folder.
  3. When prompted during RDPWin client setup, map the RDPWin path to the data directory such as RDPNT\RDP\RDP01.
