Daily Maintenance for GDS Interface
-
Check the GDS interface daily to see if reservations are
being made properly.
-
Go to the System main menu --> RDPWin Monitor -->
Monitor GDS --> click the Display button.

Warning: The Type column should always read Book, Cancel, or Modify.
It should never read Error.
The Status column should always read Processed Confirmed. It
should never read Pending.
If either the Type column reads Error or the Status column is
Pending, contact RDP Support.
The availability should be synced with the GDS provider as part of the
Night Audit or Day End procedures on a daily basis.
To sync the GDS, in RDPWin go to the Night Audit or Day End main
menu --> Sync GDS Avail/Rates.
Select the Start Date and End Date for the time period to
sync availability with the GDS provider. One year is a common date range to
sync.

Select the Availability radio button. Click the Process All button to create a grid with availability.

Click Display. The Status column should change to None or
Sent.
This may take up to 10 minutes. None indicates there were no errors and availability was
successfully sent.

Monthly GDS Maintenance or Rate Changes
Rate and rate changes are NOT automatically sent to the
GDS provider. RDP recommends syncing rates once a month to extend the rates available to
the GDS provider. Complete the sync rates program if changes to the GDS rates are made.
Note: This process may take several minutes in order for the
rates to sync. Larger properties may require up to 4 hours for this
process to complete. Because it can be very lengthy, it is recommended
that the sync rates only
occur once a month or after rates are changed. Users may remain in the
system during the sync.
To sync rates, in RDPWin go to the Night Audit or
Day End main menu --> Sync GDS Avail/Rates.
Select the Start Date and End Date for the time period
to sync rates with the GDS provider. One year is a common date range to
sync.

Select the Rates & Availability radio button.

Click the Process All button.
