Inserting Data Objects into Text Objects

Overview

How to insert data object inside of text object; where text object is descriptor for data field.

1. Insert text object first by clicking on Insert (Text Object) or Insert by icon on standard tool bar .  For example:  Type text "Date:" into text object as descriptor for special field Print Date .  When report is ran text object and field will display: Date: .

2. Insert data field into text object by clicking on Insert, Field Object as shown,  and choose the data field from desired table matching description.  Drag data object over text object until a picture of folded paper appears with a plus sign "+",  drop data object.  Text object now appears as   , and when report is previewed object appears as Date: September 19, 2002.
