Issue

Canadian and other foreign homeowners need to be eliminated from the electronic 1099s to avoid fines of $50 for every non-American tax ID number.

Solution

Using RDPWin, use Change Owner Master to access all foreign owners and change the setting for IRS Tax Forms on the Owner Detail tab to "Use 1042S form".  This removes these owners from electronic 1099s and only print when the 1042S option is chosen.
