Using the HTML ALT Tag for Displaying IRM Information

The HTML "ALT" tag can be used for displaying "mouse-over" text throughout the Internet Reservation Module (IRM).  Mouse-over text can be used when additional information is tied to an IRM image.  For example, a property may display the following thumbnail image for a two-bedroom unit.  And, the property wants to be sure the Internet guest understands that she is about to view specific room type information after clicking the thumbnail.

Or, to add the text using Front Page, use the following steps.

  1. Open the page where the image resides in the Front Page editor.
  2. Point your mouse at the image and select the right mouse button.  Select the option for "Picture Properties".

  3. In the "Text" field (under the "Alternate Representations" heading), enter the text that should display when the Internet guest points his mouse at the image.
  4. Click "OK".
