Switches 424-7 and 8: Controlling the "Pay Code Change" Window

Overview

Version 12.02 includes a feature for pre-scheduling group pay code changes.  A group pay code determines which charges are paid by a group master or group leader.  A group pay code can also control how charges are divided between the three individual folios, A, B, and I.  By pre-scheduling group pay code changes, a guest can easily pay the first night of his reservation individually while transferring the remaining nights to a group master or leader.  Group pay code changes are pre-scheduled using the following window:

Many properties do not pre-schedule group pay code changes while booking reservations, making the above prompt an extra step in the reservation process.  For these properties, RDP has added switch #424-7, Turn on Pay Code Change Schedule for New Reservations.  In addition, many properties never schedule group pay code changes at all, even after a reservation has been filed.  For these properties, RDP has added switch #424-8, Turn on Pay Code Change Schedule for Reservation Changes.

To Enable

In order to always see the "Pay Code Change Schedule" window displayed above, set switches 424-7 and 424-8 to YES.

To Disable

1. In order to turn off the "Pay Code Change Schedule" window for new reservations, set switch #424-7 to NO. 
2. To turn off the "Pay Code Change Schedule" window on changes, set switch #424-8 to NO.
