Call Accounting Module and Administrative Phone Calls

Added: 6/22/2000 - Version - 12.02 and Higher

Overview

A new field has been added to the "CR" - "Extension to Room Conversion" table, #3 - Disable RDP Posting (Y/N).  

The following events occur when the Call Accounting interface module (R7) receives a message from an extension with a "Y" in field #3.

1. Processing stops and no posting occurs.
2. There is no output to the log file or printer.
3. The "Good/Error" and "Total" counters are NOT incremented.
4. The HOBIC fields are displayed on the "Process Messages" screen with the following text in the "Message" field:
   
   "EXT DISABLED"

This feature has been added mainly for customers who cannot disable administrative extensions from their call accounting device.  With the extension disabled in RDP, administrative calls will not be written to the log file, making it easier to find legitimate "un-posted calls".

To Enable

1. Update to Version 12.02, revision #84.
2. Update the CR table, adding a "Y" to field #3 for administrative extensions.

To Disable

Do not utilize field #3 in the CR table.
