Switches 424-2, 424-3, 424-4 Prompt for Posting Date (Masters)

Overview

In previous RDP Versions, switch #219-16, Prompt for Posting Date for Masters, controlled whether the following prompt displayed when posting charges to travel agents, credit cards, owners, or groups.

The above prompt allows transactions to be back-posted.  

Posting transactions with previous dates changes RDP370 totals.  For example, if the current date is June 22, 2000 and an "Owner Maintenance Fee" is back-posted for June 1, 2000, the following system totals are changed for June 1.

• The B7 (Owner) Ledger
• The transaction code total for "Owner Maintenance Fees"
• The debit and credit general ledger account totals for "Owner Maintenance Fees" (defined in option 182).

Properties who export daily totals to a back office accounting system must be aware of these changes to previous day totals.

With Version 12.02, switch 219-16 controls the above prompt solely for owner masters.  All other RDP masters are separated into unique switches, stored in option 424 on the System Manager menu, displayed below.

To Enable

Update to Version 12.02, revision #84.

To Disable

Change the appropriate switch to NO.
