Long Term Rent Posting Enhancement

Added: 6/21/2000 - Version - 12.02 and Higher

Overview

The Long Term module (RT) has been enhanced so that only rents for the current month are posted in the current month.  This enhancement prevents owners from receiving revenue from rents not yet collected.  The following tables detail how the Long Term module posted rents prior to Version 12.02 and how it currently posts rents.

Pre-V12.02 Long Term Reservation Scenario:

Date Transactions
June 15, 2000 Pro-rated rent posts for the period from June 15th through June 30th.

July's rent is also posted on the 15th (the total rent amount).
July 1, 2000 Pro-rated rent for August 1 - 15 is posted.

Current V12.02 Long Term Reservation Scenario

Date Transactions
June 15, 2000 Pro-rated rent posts for the period from June 15th through June 30th.
July 1, 2000 July's rent is posted - the total rent amount.
August 1, 2000 The pro-rated rent for August is posted (8/1 - 8/15)

To Enable

  1. Update to the most current revision of Version 12.02 (Revision #91).
  2. From the System Manager menu, enter option "090" - "Update System Tables".
  3. Enter table number C1.
  4. Enter "S" for sub-record.
  5. Enter sub-record number "Month".
  6. In the "Special Data" field (field #1), enter the date rent is posted followed by a space and the text "Current Month Only".

To Disable

Do not add the text "Current Month Only" after the posting day in the C1 MONTH sub-record.
