Printing Folios in Condensed Print

Added 5/2/00 - Version - 12.02 and Higher

Overview

With Version 12.02, it is possible to print folios in condensed print (17 characters per inch). Version 12.02 automatically controls whether or not print jobs print in 17 or 10 characters per inch (CPI). Version 12.02 condenses print jobs based on the number of columns on a report. Any report with more than 80 columns automatically prints in condensed print. The standard RDP folio does not exceed 80 columns and therefore cannot be condensed without using the following steps.

The following steps are used for printing folios in condensed print using Version 12.02.

From the System Manager menu, select option "090" - "Update System Tables".
Select option "U" to "Update System Tables".
At the "Enter table number" prompt, enter "C1".
Enter "S" for sub-record, add sub-record 130DCP, with a description of "Print Folios in 17CPI". A sample sub-record is displayed below.

To Enable

Update to Version 12.02, revision #74.
Follow steps 1 - 4 above.

To Disable

Do not add sub-record 130DCP to the C1 table.
