Copying Golf Itineraries to Group Members

Added 3/21/00 - Version - 12.02 and Higher

Overview

Certain properties using the RDP Itinerary module (RP) for booking golf activities print one ticket for each golf round per group.  For example, a group of four individuals are playing golf and staying at the property.  For billing purposes, each individual has his own itinerary.  The itinerary includes charges associated with each golf course being played.  A sample is displayed below.

However, only the group leader receives a "ticket" at check-in that entitles the entire group to a round of golf, i.e. - each individual in the group does NOT receive a ticket, only the group leader.  In these situations, the reservationist uses the RDP itinerary copy feature to enter the golf rounds on each group member.  However, the "Ticket Quantity Code" field must be changed to "X" on group member reservations in order to avoid printing unnecessary tickets.  The "Ticket Quantity Field" is field #9, seen below.

In the past, reservationists were forced to manually change the "Ticket Quantity Field" to "X" on group member reservations.  With the new feature described below, the system automatically changes the "Ticket Quantity Field" while copying a golf activity.

To Enable

  1. Update to Version 12.02, revision #63.
  2. From the System Manager menu, select option "090" - "Update System Tables".
  3. Enter option "U" - "Update System Tables".
  4. Enter table number C1.
  5. Enter an "S" to add a new sub-record.
  6. The new sub-record to add is "ITIN9" (no quotes).
  7. In the "Special Data" field (#1), enter "Change Ticket Quantity Field to X".

  8. File the new sub-record.

To Disable

Do NOT add C1 sub-record "ITIN9".
