Yield Management Searches for an Available Room

Added 3/9/00 - Version - 12.01 and Higher

Overview

The Enhanced Rates and Packages module (RN) checks for an available room for each night of a reservation while the Yield Management screen is displayed.  If a single room is NOT available for the entire stay, RDP displays an "R" to the right of the room type, seen below.

In the example above, the Yield Management screen displays available "DD" rooms each night during the requested dates (i.e. - there are 2 available "DD's" on Sunday 3/1, 2 on Monday 3/2, 1 on Tuesday 3/3, etc.).  However, displaying the tape chart reveals that the SAME "DD" room is not available for the requested dates, displayed below.

If a guest requests a reservation in a "DD" room type for March 1 - 7, he would be able to stay in room 900 from the 1st through the 5th, and then move to room 800 for the remainder of his stay.  Because the same room is not available for the entire stay, RDP displays an "R" to the the right of the room type in the Yield Management screen, seen in the first screen above.

To Enable

Update to the most current revision of Version 12.01 (or 12.02).

To Disable

This feature is active in all Version 12.01 and 12.02 systems.
