Change Rates

1. Select Freeze Rates from the System | Rates submenu so the rate changes do not affect future reservations already booked.
   
   
   1. Select the Rate Plan to be frozen or select All to freeze all rates.  Confirmation is required prior to processing.
      
      
   2. When processing is complete, the system tallies and displays the total number of existing future reservations affected by the freeze.
      
2. Select Table Maintenance from the System | File Utilities submenu to review the C3 - Seasonal Calendar - Rate Calculation table and get the "rate letter" to be changed.
   
   
   Note:  In some cases, properties also have Q tables which are Enhanced Package tables.  For example, Q1 might be lift ticket seasons, Q3 might be golf component seasons, etc.
   
   
   1. Double-click a row or select a row and click the Change SubRecord button to access the Change screen.
      
   2. Each letter in the sample above represents a day of the month selected (in this case, April 2004).  The season changes from D to A on April 16, 2004.
      
      
3. Select Change from the System | Rates | Rate Sets submenu.
   
   
   1. Select the Rate Set.
      
   2. Select the Room/Type.
      
   3. Make changes to the seasonal amounts as needed.
      
   4. Click the Generate Rates button to view the rates and verify each season is correct.
      
   5. Save changes.

Demo Data Sample: Change a Single Rate

1. Logon to RDPWin demo files with the Resort drop-down set to 03-CCS. 
2. From System | Rates | Rate Sets, select Change to open the Change Rate Sets screen.
3. On the Calculation tab, Select "RACK - Rack Rate" from the Rate Set drop-down list.
4. Select 1B from the Room Type/# drop-down list.
5. In the Seasonal Amounts section, the rate for Season B is 100.
6. Click the Data tab to display all Rate Sets for Room Type = 1B.
7. In the first row (RoomType=1B, Adlt=02, Teen=00,  Chld=99, Pets=0), change the rate in Column B from 100 to 105.
8. Click Save to file the rate change and return to the Calculation tab.
9. The Rate Set drop-down should still be set to "RACK - Rack Rate".  Select 1B from the Room Type/# drop-down list.
10. In the Seasonal Amounts section, the rate for Season B is now 105.
11. The Save button on the Data tab filed the change.  Click Close.
12. Click Close again.  The system prompts with "Changes have been made, save changes?".
13. Click Yes.
14. Click the Start button.
