Any reference to CRM, Enhanced Housekeeping, Work Orders and Asset Management, Reporter, and Stats will only be appropriate and active if the customer has purchased each of these modules.
Revision 2.075 (Released 09/05/08)
Version 2.040 was the last release for customers using Pervasive Version 8.
All new features, bug fixes and enhancements will only be added to the RDPWin
Version for Pervasive 9/10. Pervasive 8 customers can use this last
release while planning the upgrade to Pervasive 9/10. It is highly
recommended that Pervasive is upgraded as soon as possible, as it is required on
all future updates.
System
- Rates | Freeze Rates
- Select Freeze Rates from the System | Rates submenu to run the RDP-DOS
version of 990 (Option 5).
When a rate/rates is/are selected and Process
is clicked, then the RatePlanOverride in the HExpense file AND the
DailyChargeFlag in the HReserve file are set to "*". Archived reservations
in the BookHist files are not affected.
The purpose of the function is to keep existing reservations at their
current rate settings while allowing the property to update rate sets.
Any frozen rates have an asterisk "*" on the folio to indicate the rate
has been frozen and to notify the Reset Res from Folio program to skip
the frozen rate.
Once a rate has been frozen and requires an update at some point in the
future, change the room number, room type; accept the new rates when
prompted, and save. Should the reservationist need to keep the
room number or room type, then change the reservation back into the
original room number or room type. The system automatically
assigns the updated rate set to the reservation and the freeze flag is
removed from the folio.
Note: When the HExpense and HReserve files do not have a specified
rate plan, the records are not updated.

Select one rate plan to specify a single rate plan or select All to freeze
all existing rate plans. Click Process, select yes at the warning to
proceed with the freeze.

- Zip Code Fields Now 10 Digits
- All Zip Code fields in the RDPWin system allow up to 10 digits.
- F12 Quick View ~ Inquire
- F12 now works from even more screens within RDPWin. The Inquire screen runs on a separate thread like RDPWin Monitor does, so the screen can be minimized and accessed quickly whenever needed. The Quick View screen offers a menu like the main menu in RDPWin.
Prior to Version 2.075, selections available were System, Masters, Owners, and Reservations areas of the system.
The Housekeeping, Reporter, Stats, CRM, and Accounting menus have been
added in Version 2.075.
- Alt F12 - Availability
- RDPWin now offers Alt-F12 (Alt key, F12 key) shortcut to access the
Availability screen in read-only format.
- Ctrl-F12 - DDF Info
- RDPWin now offers Ctrl-F12 (Ctrl key, F12 key) shortcut to access
the DDF Info screen in read-only format.

Count and People
Categories
- The reservation list shows the number of reservations and the number
of people at the bottom of the listing area. This applies to the group
leader reservation listing, arrivals, departures and in-house lists.
- Post Charges | Folio Type Override
- Charges can be posted to any folio regardless of how the reservation
was originally set up.
The Folio Type Override drop-down shows when:
When displayed, the calculated folio type can be overridden and the folio override flag
is set (asterisk next to the folio
type on the folio listing).
Housekeeping
- Configuration | Miscellaneous Tab | Schedule Pre-checking Cleans |
All Clean & Vacant Rooms
- Rooms are generally not on the schedule until a room is marked as
dirty. Some customers may wish for all rooms to be included on the
schedule in order for the housekeepers to enter and confirm the room is
ready for a guest regardless of the clean status (clean, inspect, or
dirty).
When the "All Clean & Vacant Rooms" radio button is selected, all pre-checkin cleans rooms are marked as dirty so as
to be included on the schedule when created. A Clean Type of "Ready"
(or
the like) should be created and selected in the Add Pre-checking Cleans
drop-down and the Pre-checkin room status should be set to Dirty (sets
the flag so the new clean type is part of the schedule).
To configure this situation:
- Create "Ready" clean type on the Configuration | Clean Types tab.
A Ready clean can indicate the housekeeper should enter and confirm the
room is ready for rental.
- Select Ready from the Add Pre-checking Cleans drop-down.
- Select the All Clean & Vacant Rooms radio button.
- Select Dirty from the Pre-checking Room Status drop-down.
- Save.
- Create today's schedule. All rooms are included on the boards
regardless of clean status.

Historical Files
- Select Transfer to Historical Files from the System | File Utilities
submenu. In order to keep RDPWin running as
quickly as possible old reservations are archived by moving the database
records into backup database files so that the main database files are kept
small and clean. This is the RDPWin version of the RDP-DOS 910 Utility.
Masters
- Travel Agents | Configuration | Agent Tab | Display Comment 1 on the
Process Commission Screen
- when checked, the Agent Master's Comment 1 field displays on the
Process Commission screen in line with the rate plan on the reservation
and transaction line.
