New Customer Installation Checklist

Thank you for choosing Resort Data Processing.  This document serves as an outline for organizing the installation of the system.  Please complete the following table as you progress through the installation process.  Follow the links within the table for additional information regarding a specific step.  For more information, please contact RDP Sales at (970) 845-1140.

RDP Implementation and Training Check-list

Completion Date

Confirm or purchase hardware and software infrastructure.  Hardware Requirements.

 

Purchase and install current version of Pervasive.SQL Database.  Overview of Pervasive Database.

 

Establish static IP address for RDP to connect to your system with an administrator login and password (also necessary for Internet Reservations Module).  Hardware Requirements and IRM Checklist.

 

RDP delivers ‘empty’ system via the Internet through terminal services, remote desktop or Citrix.

 

Review and establish plan for RDP Interfaces such as credit card, phone, point-of-sale, etc. 

 

If you have purchased the SDC Credit Card Interface, please review Overview of Credit Card Processing.

 

Review critical factors to consider when configuring room types and room numbers.

 

Begin entering critical system data immediately! 

Refer either to installation document in Adobe format or installation document in Word Format.

   

RDP trains your staff on how to enter the critical system data from Installation document.

 

Your staff enters critical system data from Installation Kit 

 

Once hardware is in place, onsite implementation and training dates are established when you sign the RDP Confirmation of Installation letter.

 

Support and Training Manager, will contact you and assign an RDP Technician to your site, who will contact you regarding any questions you might have.  See RDP Support.

Your staff enters all future reservations and other critical system data prior to RDP arrival for onsite installation. It is critical to enter this data ahead of time.  RDP installers will train your staff extensively on this process, but they do not perform data entry.  See Reservations Overview

 

Your staff configures Internet Reservations Module prior to our arrival.  See IRM Installation Checklist.

 

RDP arrives onsite for training. At this point all reservations and critical system data will already have been entered by your staff.
