It is possible to collect the arrival date and departure date using a form on your marketing website and then link directly to the available room numbers or room types in the IRM. This bypasses both the IRM access type screen and the date entry screen. This feature is designed for customers using the IRM to make reservations either by room type (inventory reservations) or room number (pre-assign reservations). To implement this feature requires someone familiar with HTML forms and programming to create a form on your marketing website to collect the arrival date, departure date, and other information. RDP support does not provide HTML programming training. Also see Linking options from your Marketing Website to the IRM.
A sample form to collect the Arrival and Departure Dates and adult and children field is below. This form would be created by your marketing website designer. Things to be aware of:

The format of the link to use from your marketing website to a list of available room types (inventory reservations) is below.
http://server/irm/RoomType1.asp?Arrival=mm/dd/yyyy&Depart=mm/dd/yyyy&PPL1=w&Ppl2=x&Ppl3=y&Ppl4=z
A sample of this link is below, which goes to RDP's test IRM server, "IRM.Resortdata.com", and then displays all available room types from 03/05/1998 to 03/09/1998. Notice that this link brings up a new browser window. See "Overview of linking".
The format of the link to use from your marketing website to a list of available room numbers (Pre-assign reservations) is below.
http://server/irm/Rooms1.asp?Arrival=mm/dd/yyyy&Depart=mm/dd/yyyy&PPL1=w&Ppl2=x&Ppl3=y&Ppl4=z
A sample of this link is below, which goes to RDP's test IRM server, "IRM.Resortdata.com", and then displays all available room numbers from 03/05/1998 to 03/09/1998. Notice that this link brings up a new browser window. See "Overview of linking".
The feature is designed to pass the arrival date and departure date, not the arrival date and "number of nights". However, you can design a form on your marketing website that prompts for the arrival date and number of nights. You must then convert the number of nights to a departure date in order to pass the IRM the Departure date variable. The arrival date and departure dates must be in the format mm/dd/yy as shown in the sample links above.
In addition to passing the arrival date and departure date, you can pass all four people classifications. The "People classifications" are optional parameters, but are very important for calculation of rates. People 1 will default to "1" if not used.
