Article ID#: I000026

Overview

By creating additional UserText and UserHTML folders, and modifying the link to the IRM, the IRM can run in multiple languages.  The following steps describe how to run the IRM in both English and Japanese.  In order to use any other country's language, replace "Japan" with the appropriate country name.

  1. Open Windows Explorer.  Create two new folders in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\irm, JapanUserText and JapanUserHTML.

  2. Copy all files from UserHTML to JapanUserHTML.

  3. Copy all files from UserText to JapanUserText.

  4. Using Microsoft Front Page, edit all files in JapanUserHTML and JapanUser text to be in Japanese.
  5. Once all files have been edited, create a new link to the IRM.  The link will display:

    <a href="http://IPAddress/irm/default.asp?Country=Japan">

    The original link to the IRM does not change.
  6. Repeat steps 1-5 for additional languages.

To Enable

  1. Update to IRM Version 2.051.

  2. Follow steps 1 - 6 above.

To Disable

Do not follow steps 1 - 6 above.
