IRM Configuration Options - System Maintenance

The section for "System Maintenance" holds RDP-related fields in addition to the IRM monitor password and e-mail settings.  The fields in this section are described below.

IRM Configuration Password

Enter the password for configuring the IRM.  This setting can also be changed in the RDP-DOS system using the steps described in the "Configuration Options" section.

IRM Monitor Password

Enter the password for displaying the IRM monitor page.

SSL Certificate Installed

Customers that have purchased and installed an SSL Security Certificate should check this box.  With this box checked, the IRM controls which pages are locked on servers containing an SSL certificate.  These pages are:

Page Description
Res1.asp Guest enters personal and credit card information.
ResTA.asp Travel agent enters guest information
CCard1.asp & CCard2.asp Credit Card Processing page
CCardRetry.asp Page that is displayed if the initial credit card processing fails
Confirm1.asp Confirmation page

For performance reasons, all other IRM pages are unlocked.  The IRM link from the marketing site should include "https:".  The "s" indicates the link takes the Internet guest to a secure site.  With the "https" link, the IRM pages lock or unlock accordingly.

When a guest leaves the IRM confirmation page (Confirm1.asp), the browser displays the "leaving a secure site" message.

E-Mail IRM Status to RDP Support

Upon installing the IRM, RDP Support will check this box in order to monitor the IRM's status at your property.  E-mails include information about the condition of the web server and whether or not the IRM is "down" for lengthy periods of time.  This setting allows RDP to monitor IRM activity and help troubleshoot problems.

E-Mail Session Start/End Notices

The "EMail Start & End Notices" feature is used by RDP Support for monitoring the beginning and ending of IRM sessions.  RDP Support normally activates this feature upon installation and turns it off once the IRM is functioning normally.  If a customer reports a problem with Internet guests connecting to the IRM, RDP Support activates this feature.

Additional Support E-Mail Addresses

If the property wants to receive the same status e-mails as RDP, enter the System Administrator's  e-mail address in this field.
