Deleting Rate Plans

Issue

After deleting rate plan(s) in RDPWin, the old rate plan(s) still appear in the Rate Plan drop-downs throughout the system.

Solution

The rate plans must be deleted in RDPWin and also from the rateplan.dat file.

  1. Access Rate Plan from the System | Rates submenu.
  2. Click Find Rate and identify the rate plan to be deleted.

    Note: Rate plans cannot be deleted when in use during the current calendar year.  Rate plans should be reviewed and deleted as necessary in January of each new year.  When in use, the system displays "Rate plan #### is in use on Res#xxx".

  3. Click the Delete button.
  4. When the rate plan is not in use during the current year, click Yes to confirm the request.
  5. Click OK at the confirmation notice.
  6. Delete the rate plan from the Z0 table by selecting Table Maintenance from the System | File Utilities submenu.
     
  7. If necessary, delete/update any rate plan patterns or lowest available rate that might be using the deleted rate plan.
