RDP has released RDPWin, ,our new Windows based system which supports Crystal Report Standard Edition Version 10. Compatibility with older versions of Crystal is as follows:
When RDPWin is installed there is a new folder created on your data server, \RDP\Reports10. All standard RDP Crystal reports are installed into this folder. These reports are in Crystal Version 10 format, and can only be modified with Crystal Version 10.
After installation of RDPWin, your system will still have a folder \RDP\Reports, with older versions of Crystal reports that maybe in a variety of Crystal Formats (Version 8.5, Version 7, etc.). If you have any custom reports in the older \Reports folder they must be saved in Version 10 format and moved to the \RDP\Reports10 folder with the procedure below.
To create or modify reports for RDPWin in Crystal V10 format, customers must purchase a copy of Crystal Reports Version 10 Standard Edition. It can be purchased directly from www.provantage.com. This version is available for under $200.

To convert an older Crystal Report to Crystal Version 10 Format, follow the steps below:
Note: When saving the report any sub-folder name under \RDP\Reports10 can be used. RDPWin will display all sub-folders under \RDP\Reports10. RDPWin allows for security to be placed on each sub-folder, and each report to control which users are allowed to run reports. In RDPWin, select "Reporter" and then "Security" from the drop down.
