Issue

Hotel customers may get "Room and Tax Needs to be Posted for Today" when closing the day. This usually means one or more rooms did not post.

Solution

Review the bucket check or the Nightly Posting Log more closely. Any rooms that do not say either “Will Post OK” (Bucket Check Message) or “Posted Successfully” (Nightly Posting Log) need to be reviewed individually.


Posting room and tax can be completed as many times as necessary, since room and tax will not be re-posted to rooms that already have a room charge for that day. If the auditor ignores the problems with these rooms, room and tax will NOT be posted for these rooms.
