Issue

Customer receives Stat 35 error message when trying to access RDPWin.  Access to RDP-DOS is not affected and does not issue the error message.

Solution:

Pervasive error message as it reads from the Pervasive website: Either a Get Directory operation specified a drive that does not exist, or a Set Directory operation specified an invalid pathname. Check the validity of both the drive and the pathname.

A text file named RDPWinpath.txt exists on each RDP client workstation in the c:\program files\resortdataprocessing\rdpwin folder.  Confirm the path to the rdp data directory is correct.

The ODBC connection in the Pervasive Control Center may need to be deleted and re-added.

To delete the database from the Pervasive Control Center, perform the following steps:

  1. Log into the computer as the administrator.
  2. Select Control Center from the Start | Pervasive | PSQL## submenu.
  3. Expand the Engines folder.
  4. Expand the server. (This will appear as the server name.  Example: RDPData)
  5. Expand the Databases folder.
  6. Highlight the database needing to be deleted. (Example: RDP01)
  7. Right-click on the database and click Delete.

To add the database back into the Pervasive Control Center, perform the following steps:

  1. Log into the computer as the administrator.
  2. Select Control Center from the Start | Pervasive | PSQL## submenu.
  3. Expand the Engines folder.
  4. Right-click on Databases and select New | Database.
  5. Name the database. (Example: RDP01)
  6. Type or browse to the location of the folder containing the RDP data files.
  7. Uncheck the option to create dictionary files.
  8. Click Finish.
  9. The new database should display below the Databases category.
  10. Close Pervasive Control Center.
