the MSR (Magnetic Stripe Reader) On A Cherry Keyboard

Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance is different for every RDP customer based on the volume of credit card transactions. RDP software may not be PCI compliant for all customers. There are many PCI compliance requirements that must be satisfied which have nothing to do with the RDP system. Every RDP customer must carefully examine the full PCI requirements. It is the responsibility of each customer to assure full PCI compliance. RDP is NOT LIABLE for damages or fines related to any level of credit card security. RDP offers no assistance, guarantees, or advice regarding PCI compliance, and cannot be held liable for any damages resulting from customer failure to comply with full PCI compliance standards.
Exit all applications.
Open Notepad.
Press <CONTROL> + <ALT> + <SHIFT> on the left and right sides of the keyboard. Depress all six keys until two beeps are heard.
Press J, 1 (from top of keyboard), Y. The message "Magnetic-Card Option track #1 reading=YES" displays.
Press J, 2 (from top of keyboard), Y. The message "Magnetic-Card Option track #2 reading=YES" displays.
Press V, 5 , % <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Card Header #1 Defined and Enabled" dispays.
Press V, 6, ; , <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Crd #2 Defined and Enabled" displays.
Press W, 5, ? , <ENTER> (from main keyboard), <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Card Terminator #1 Defined and Enabled" displays.
Press W, 6, ? , <ENTER> (from the main keyboard), <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Card Terminator #2 Defined and Enabled" displays.
Exit by pressing the space bar.
Test the magnetic Strip Reader from within Notepad by swiping the card. Two lines of information read from the credit card should display.
Exit all applications.
Open Notepad.
Press <CONTROL> + <ALT> + <SHIFT> on the left and right sides of the keyboard. Depress all six keys until two beeps are heard.
Press J, 1 (from top of keyboard), Y. The message "Magnetic-Card Option track #1 reading=YES" displays.
Press J, 2 (from top of keyboard), Y. The message "Magnetic-Card Option track #2 reading=YES" displays.
Press V, 5 , % <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Card Header #1 Defined and Enabled" displays. If a "replace" window pops up, close it by pressing the "X" on the window and continue.
Press V, 6, ; , <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Crd #2 Defined and Enabled" displays. If a "replace" window pops up, close it by pressing the "X" on the window and continue.
Press W, 5, ? , <ENTER> (from main keyboard), <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Card Terminator #1 Defined and Enabled" displays. If a "replace" window pops up, close it by pressing the "X" on the window and continue.
Press W, 6, ? , <ENTER> (from the main keyboard), <ENTER> (from the number pad). The message "Magnetic-Card Terminator #2 Defined and Enabled" displays. If a "replace" window pops up, close it by pressing the "X" on the window and continue.
Exit by pressing the space bar.
Test the magnetic Strip Reader from within Notepad by swiping the card. Two lines of information read from the credit card should display.
