How to Enable HTTP Compression for IRM.net

IRM.Net Version 2.093 and Higher

1. Back up metabase. 
   1. Run IIS manager.
   2. Right-click on the server name.
   3. Select Backup/Restore Configuration from the All Tasks submenu.
      
   4. Click the Create Backup button.
   5. Enter a name for the Backup.
      
   6. Click OK.
2. Using Windows Explorer, browse to c:/inetpub/wwwroot/IRMnet. 
3. Check the version of IIS. 
   1. Double-click Internet Information Services Manager from the Start/Settings/Control Panel\Administrative Tools submenu.
   2. Click on the Internet Information Services heading to view the version.  Based on this setting,
      • If IISV5.1, do not enable HTTP compression.
      • If IISV6.0, run c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\IRMNet\CompressionIIS6.bat.
      • If IISV7.0, run c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\IRMNet\CompressionIIS7.bat.
