Overview of RDP Statistical Calculations - Switch: 420-13

Added 08/15/98
Article ID:  K000016

RDP902 (Statistics) Rules

The Total Number of Rooms Available to be sold:

  1. Never includes Non-Rental (N/R) and OLD (Condominium Systems Only) units.
  2. Room Values:  The "Room Value" is related to lock-off units, and is stored in field #10 of the unit master (seen below).  A "master room" is given the value of 0.  A "secondary room" is given the value of 1.

If Switch #420-13, Count Reservation Types O, G, and X in Reservation Statistics, is set to NO

Type O, G & X reservations reduce the total number of rooms available.

For example, at a property with one hundred rooms, with switch #420-13 set to NO and five (5) rooms unavailable to rent for maintenance reasons, the Statistical module counts the total number of rooms available to rent (for that night) as 95, instead of 100.

Total Occupied Rooms

  1. Reservation types "M" (Multiple) and "X" (Maintenance) are never counted.
  2. Guests in N/R and OLD rooms are never counted.
  3. Only one share-with guest is counted. All subsequent share-withs are ignored.

Miscellaneous Statistical Information

  1. Maximum of 1800 Units
  2. Maximum of 300 Unit Types
  3. Maximum of 500 Market Codes
