Report Writer Data Item - G8 - Last Four Digits of Guest Credit Card

Added 4/28/00 - Version - 12.02 and Higher

Overview

A new report writer data item has been added to the Version 12.02 system, G8.  Report writer data item G8 prints only the last four digits of a guest's credit card number.  Recently, California passed a law prohibiting the entire credit card number from printing on credit card receipts.  Several other states are expected to follow.

A sample folio is displayed below using report writer data item G8.

To Enable

1. Update to Version 12.02, revision #73.
2. Add data item G8 to all applicable forms.

To Disable

Do NOT add data item G8 to guest correspondence forms.
