RDPDEL.BAT Available to Free Disk Space

The system creates a variety of log files each day.  For example, each time a phone call is posted from the call accounting interface the charge is posted to the guest folio and added to a daily log file.  These daily log files are never deleted by the system automatically.  To free disk space old log files can now be deleted with the procedures below:

  1. Update to the latest version of RDPDOS using the instructions in "RDPDOS Update".
  2. Start the command prompt by clicking Start | Run and enter "CMD"
  3. Enter the Drive letter assigned to RDP (such as F:) and press <Enter>
  4. Change to the RDP Directory by typing CD RDP and press <Enter>
  5. Change to the RDP Data Directory by typing CD RDP01 and press <Enter>
  6. Type "RDPDEL" and press <Enter> to start the batch file.  In the example below the RDP drive is "F"
  7. Type "EXIT" to close the Command Prompt
  8. If you have multiple RDP data directories, the RDPDEL.BAT file must be executed from each data directory.  RDPDEL.BAT must be copied from the \RDP\RDP01 folder to other data folders.
