To Enable, the System Manager Switch 424-10
should be set to "Yes."
City Lookup
Table
From the System Manager Menu option 090,
select U, then enter Table CX. Select S to add cities to the file.
Making Rooms
"Tidy" After a Room Move
- Change Switch 419-13 to "Tidy."
- Make sure the qualifier on your housekeeping
reports read "AI=D:AI=T;
Using F4 Help
Screens to Describe
Specific Room Numbers
- Set up the help screen in your help directory
with the name "room#.hlp" (Ex. 107.hlp)
- You must be making a pre-assigned reservation.
- Highlight the specific room number from the
tape chart and press the F4 key to display the room information.
Pick-up a
Specific Room Number
from the 362 Screen
- Highlight the "Left to Sell" column
and press <Enter>. A list of available rooms will be displayed.
Restrict F8
Change Option
For a Previous Day
- Switch #425-1 must be set to "No."
- Additional transactions must be set up so that
charges may be reversed.
- Bullets
Configure the System to Skip the Yield Management Screen
- By changing Switch #425-3 to "Yes,"
the system goes directly to rate plan, skipping the yield management screen.
- The rate plan field can be entered or skipped.
- The system displays all available rooms for
the specified dates.
- Change C1 subrecord "DFRATE" to the
4 digit default rate plan desired.

Features for Reservations
- 128E-R
- Configures the field order when reserving
an additional room.
- Valid field numbers are 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
which is stored in the first byte of the data portion of the record
(9,1).
- MORIDE
- Management override password for
overbooking the property.
- MRIDE2
- Management override password for
overbooking the property.
- YMOVER
- Seperate password for "NOROOM"
condition on the yield management screen. YMOVER can be used
instead of MORIDE. In this instance, the MORIDE password then
appies to cutoff rates, NOTA (no travel agents) and ALLOC (overbooked
allocations).
- C1 record "NOTA."
Pre-Schedule
Pay Code Changes
- A pay code is assigned to a reservation in
order to identify which entity, for example a group leader, is paying for a
specific charge.
- In order to pre-schedule pay code changes, set
switches 424-7 and/or 424-8 to "Yes."
Wait List
Procedures
- RDP supports wait lists during busy
reservation periods. Use the following steps for creating and
maintaining a wait list.
- When a guest inquires about a wait list, book
an inventory reservation for him or her in the non-rental room type N/RWL.
Enter all pertinent guest information.
- Enter the type or room the guest is waiting
for in field #40, the housekeeping comment field.
- Monitor the wait list be printing report #725-
Wait list reservations in the Reservation Reports Menu.
- Convert the reservation to a real reservation
by changing the room type to the appropriate room type , calculate new
rates, and assign a room number.
Reservation
Tape Chart
- Assign security to the Reservation Tape Chart
using the X+ table.
- 140AM - Restricts the ability to toggle
the "Allow Move" flag with the <F7> key from the
Reservation Tape Chart.
- 140F11 - Restricts users from accessing
RDP120 from the Reservation Tape Chart.
- Each property controls whether the Reservation
Tape Chart displays in room number, room type, or a custom-defined sequence.

- Assign custom sequence numbers using
option 202 on the Room Master Menu.

Customizing
Menu Options
- Specific Menu options may be moved between
menus
- Example: Moving the 725: Wait List Report from
the Reservation reports menu to the Front Desk Menu.
- Update the XF table - Front Desk Reports
- Add sub-record 752 with the following
fields completed:
- 1- Wait List Reservations
(Description)
- 2- RDP410 (Program Name)
- 4- R1 (Program Module Code)
- 7- 725 (Table 'H0' sub-record number)
- RDP system security is 100% customizable
- User power levels are assigned in the PW
table.
- Each menu, or specific menu options may
also be assigned fence levels.
- Steps for Assigning security levels:
- Define system users.
- Create security groups.
- Assign power levels.
- Restrict menus and menu options with fence
levels.
